Blog management

HOW TO USE THE BLOG MANAGEMENT FEATURE

Step 1: Open the Blog manager

To start managing articles, do the following:

  • From the main navigation bar or the left sidebar of the admin site, choose "Blog".

  • On the article list screen, click the "Add new" button in the top right corner to start creating an article.

Step 2: Fill in the basic details of the new article

On the new article screen, fill in the basic content fields below:

The form for entering details of a new blog article

1. Thumbnail (cover image)

  • Thumbnail: the cover image shown for the article on the blog list page. Click the camera icon to upload an image file from your device.

  • Thumbnail alt: enter a short, clear description of the image. This helps search engines index the image properly (good SEO practice) and shows alternative text if the image fails to load.

2. Title (required)

  • Enter the main title of your article. Keep it short and compelling, make sure it reflects the content, and include the primary keyword you want to rank for.

3. Publish date (optional)

  • If you want the article to go live immediately, leave this blank. The system publishes it the moment you click "Save".

  • If you want to schedule it for a specific time in the future, pick the publish date and time you want.

4. Article URL (required)

  • The search-friendly URL for the article (the slug), for example: huong-dan-viet-blog-chuan-seo.

  • Note: by default the system generates an accent-free slug from the title you entered. You can edit it yourself for better SEO.

5. Content (required)

  • The editor for the article body. Use the visual (WYSIWYG) toolbar to:

    • Format text: bold, italic, underline, change text colour, and apply heading levels (H2, H3, H4) to sub-sections.

    • Insert media: add images and hyperlinks pointing to other articles or external documents.

    • Structure the article: use ordered (OL) or unordered (UL) lists and text alignment.

Step 3: Fill in the SEO settings (required)

For the article to reach readers through search engines like Google, the meta SEO settings matter a great deal:

6. Short content (the excerpt shown on the list page)

  • Write a brief summary (one or two lines) introducing the article, so readers on the list page want to click through.

7. Meta title

  • The article title shown in Google search results. This SEO title should contain the article's primary keyword and stay between 50 and 60 characters so it is not truncated.

8. Meta keywords

  • Enter the main keywords related to the article topic, separated by a comma and a space (for example: online learning, soft skills, corporate training).

9. Robots

  • Controls what search engine crawlers are allowed to do:

    • index, follow (default): lets Google index the article and crawl the links inside it.

    • noindex, nofollow: use this if you do not want the article to appear in search engines.

10. Meta description

  • The summary that appears under the title in Google search results. Keep it short and compelling (150–160 characters) and include the primary keyword to encourage clicks.

Step 4: Assign categories to the article

Categories sort articles into the right topics on your website so readers can find related content easily:

11. Categories

  • Tick one or more categories that best match the topic of your article.

  • If no suitable category exists, click the plus "+" icon next to the field to create one right here.

Step 5: Review and save the article

  • Check everything you have entered — title, content and SEO settings.

  • Click "Save" at the bottom to store the article (it goes live immediately, or on the schedule you set).

  • If you do not want to keep your changes, or want to abandon the new article, click the red "Cancel" button.
