Custom layouts for standalone courses

STEP 1: CREATE A STANDALONE COURSE

Go to: Admin -> Courses -> Create new

What to do:

1. Enter the course title

2. Enter the price

3. Enter the course description

4. Turn on the Active status

5. Click Save

Note: you must turn Active on before saving, otherwise the course will not appear on the public site.

STEP 2: CUSTOMISE THE COURSE LANDING PAGE

Go to: Courses page -> select the course you just created -> Customise landing page

The system takes you to the layout editor.

What to do:

1. Hover -> choose Apply Templates

2. Switch to the Components tab

3. Click, hold and drag the components you want onto the template

4. Edit the content (text, images, descriptions and so on)

5. Click Save

You can add, remove or reorder components as needed.

STEP 3: ASSIGN LESSONS TO THE COURSE

Go to: Admin -> Lesson management

What to do:

1. Choose Edit on the chapter you want to add the standalone course to

2. In the course selector -> choose the course you created

3. Click Save
