The practice-test feature
I. CREATING A NEW TEST SET
Step 1: Open the feature
Go to the Test set management menu -> choose Create new.
Step 2: Fill in the basic details

Add a thumbnail for the test set (the cover image shown to students).

Choose the test type:

IELTS (4 skills)
-> The system pre-creates 4 skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking
-> No extra skills can be added. -
TOEIC
-> The system pre-creates 2 skills: Listening, Reading
-> No extra skills can be added. -
CUSTOM
-> No skills are pre-created
-> Once the test set exists, open its detail page and create the skills you want. -
Reading / Writing / Listening / Speaking
-> The test set has exactly one skill
-> No other skills can be added.

Enter the test set title.
Step 3: Choose a category (optional)
Pick a suitable category to classify the test set (skip this if you do not use categories).
Step 4: Enter the time limit
Enter the time limit in minutes for the whole test.
Step 5: Add a description (optional)
Enter a short description for the test set -> click Save to finish creating it.
II. ADDING CONTENT & QUESTIONS
Step 6: Open the test set to add questions
Once the test set has been created:

Choose Questions to start entering content.
Step 7: Add a section

For Listening sections with an audio file:

Click the three-dot menu -> upload the audio file.

Choose Add section:

Enter the section title.
-
Add the reading passage (if there is one).

Click the arrow icon to expand the section and add questions.
Step 8: Add questions

Click Add question.
-
Choose the difficulty:
-
Easy
-
Medium
-
Hard
-
-
Choose the question type:
-
Single choice: exactly one correct answer.

Multiple choice: several answers can be correct.

Writing: a free-text answer.
-
Speaking: a spoken free-form answer.

Fill in the blank:
-
Write the question text and leave a gap.

At the gap, click Add question or use the add-question icon in the toolbar.

Once added, enter the correct answer for that gap in the panel on the right.

Click Save to finish the question.
III. FINISHING UP

Repeat the steps above until every section has all the questions it needs.

Students click the practice-test button in the header on the public site to start practising
The student clicks the practice test to begin
